CBS China Bank Savings, the retail banking arm of China Banking Corporation, announces the appointment of James Christian T. Dee as President. Mr. Dee also joins the Board of Directors of CBS.
An alumnus of the University of the Philippines in Diliman and the Asian Institute of Management, Mr. Dee has more than 20 years of extensive experience in banking, including a stint with Citibank.
Mr. Dee has been with the China Bank Group for 14 years, working with the Treasury Group of China Banking Corporation and later as Treasury Head and Treasurer of CBS.
“James has been a part of the China Bank Savings story, including the acquisition of Plantersbank and its subsequent merger with CBS,” according to CBS Chairman Ricardo R. Chua. “His membership in key management committees has prepared him well for this assignment as CBS president.”
Mr. Dee will be instrumental in steering CBS to adapt and thrive in the New Normal, delivering products and services tailor-fit to entry-level customers, consumers, and small business owners, and improving systems and processes for our customers.
