CBS makes P8-Million National Teachers' Day donation

CBS China Bank Savings donated P8 million worth of prizes and giveaways at the National Teachers' Day gathering in Butuan City, today October 5. The prizes include: ten (10) 32-inch Samsung smart TV sets, thirty-five (35) Dell laptops, twenty (20) Honda Click 125i motorcycles, two brand-new cars: a Toyota Raize, and a Toyota Innova. National Teachers Day With the theme Together 4 Teachers, Appreciation, Admiration, Approval, Attention, CBS, through our APD Lending Group, continues to support the Department of Education in this annual endeavor. Over the years, CBS has implemented programs that benefit teachers and learners in the public school system. These include the CBS DepEdVenture Alay sa mga Guro and Financial Wellness Road Show, Brigada Eskwela, Brigada Pagbasa, and the CBS Gadget Assistance Program. As part of our financial inclusion initiatives, CBS on-boarded and opened free basic deposit accounts for 32,000 public school teachers via the CBS Go app in recent weeks. These digital accounts will help teachers nationwide grow their savings and easily conduct transactions online. “Given the challenges of our teachers’ profession, they truly deserve Appreciation, Admiration, Approval, and Attention from the community," according to CBS First Vice President and ADP Lending Group head Niel Jumawan. In his message during the DepEd-sponsored event in Father Saturnino Urios University-Morelos campus, CBS President James Christian T. Dee expressed the Bank's full support for the nation's educators.
