CBS Champions Sustainability Through Brigada Eskwela 2026
CBS China Bank Savings, one of the largest thrift banks in the Philippines joins the Department of Education’s Brigada Eskwela 2026 with the theme, “Bayanihan sa Paaralan: Nagkakaisa para sa Kaayusan at Kaalaman.”
In line with its continued commitment to sustainability and community development, CBS China Bank Savings proudly joins this year’s Brigada Eskwela 2026 Kick Off happening in Region 13-CARAGA at Cabadbaran City National High School, Cabadbaran City. CBS will be donating more than PHP19,000,000 (PHP19M) in support to various schools in different regions which will be used for school repairs and maintenance materials, school supplies for students, and school equipment.
As part of its sustainability initiatives, CBS reinforces the importance of collective action in creating safer, cleaner, and more conducive learning environments for Filipino students. Through volunteerism, school support activities, and community engagement, the Bank continues to champion education as a key driver of inclusive and sustainable growth.
CBS employees and volunteers will participate in clean-up drives, classroom preparation, and donation efforts to help public schools prepare for the opening of classes. The initiative reflects the Bank’s belief that empowering communities begins with supporting education and fostering a culture of bayanihan.
“Education remains one of the strongest foundations for a sustainable future. Through Brigada Eskwela, we continue to strengthen our partnership with communities and support the vision of providing Filipino students with better learning environments where they can thrive,” said Niel C. Jumawan. Mr. Jumawan also expressed the Bank’s continued support for the programs and initiatives of Department of Education in advancing accessible and quality education for Filipino learners nationwide.
More than preparing schools for another academic year, CBS’ participation in Brigada Eskwela highlights its dedication to building stronger communities through meaningful and sustainable partnerships — proving when communities unite, lasting impact is created for future generations.
Aside from the Brigada Eskwela activities, CBS continues its Financial Wellness Roadshow for Teachers, designed as a refresher course with updated strategies for debt management, financial goal setting, and personal financial analysis.
