The Department of Education’s (DepEd) Mandaluyong Schools Division Office (SDO) recognized the contributions of CBS China Bank Savings (CBS) in the education sector, through its Partner’s Appreciation Day last March 11, 2026.
Held at Ciara’s Events Place in Mandaluyong City, the celebratory program recognized CBS as one of its key partners in molding and nurturing “Mandunong Learners,” further cementing CBS’ commitment to support and uplift the Philippine education system through its learning support programs, donations, and assistance in nationwide education campaigns.
“Your (CBS) presence and support are the very reasons this program has been organized – to express heartfelt gratitude and to celebrate you as our valued partner in advancing quality education,” SDO Superintendent Margarito B. Materum explained.
Present during the ceremony was CBS APD Lending Group Head Niel C. Jumawan, who accepted the award onstage, and SDO-Mandaluyong representative Dr. Rex A. Ado, Chief Education Supervisor-SGOD.

The CBS APD Lending Group has given out three hundred seventy-five thousand (375,000) Pesos-worth of giveaways and donations to the City of Mandaluyong, reiterating CBS’ dedication to aiding and supporting DepEd’s initiatives in improving the quality of life of the Filipino youth and its educators.
