The Leon Ganzon Polytechnic College (LPGC) - Supreme Student Government with backing from CBS China Bank Savings launched the
Bayanihan Skills Hub, a project to introduce the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) Online Program to community youth and LPGC students in Balasan, Iloilo.

Co-sponsored by CBS under the
LPGC Pag-Connect initiative,
Bayanihan Skills Hub will make vocational and technical skills accessible to the community via online platforms with the long-term goal of improving employment and contributing to economic growth of the municipality.
The
Bayanihan Skills Hub which began on February 27 enables 80
LPGC students and out-of-school youth to sign up for three online courses over a four-week period.
Bayanihan Skills Hub uses mobile phones to access the
TESDA platform, which offers courses like computer literacy and basic accounting and specialized courses like web development, graphics design and culinary arts. Participants can learn technical and vocational courses at their own pace.
“CBS is eager to strengthen partnership with the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority and the community,” according to First Vice President Niel C. Jumawan, APD Lending Group head of CBS. “Together, we can increase student participation, enhance engagement, improve learner well-being, and support teachers in delivering better education, especially in rural areas.”
