SMEs hailed as Heroes during CBS Roadshow

CBS SME Kapihan hailed SMEs as heroes during the nationwide roadshow's third whistlestop at the Heroes Hotel Manila on July 5.
SME Kapihan is an exclusive platform by CBS for small and medium-scale entrepreneurs, industry experts, and banking professionals to exchange insights, share business experiences, and expand their networks within the local SME community.
The interactive sessions were a highlight, featuring videos of success stories of SME clients in Metro Manila, Laguna, Pangasinan, and Cebu. There were also presentations on accelerating business growth through finance and cash management services by the Bank's SME account managers.
Hotelier Manuel Dela Serna, president of Heroes Hotel and Property Development Inc., shared a heartfelt testimonial about the "fruitful partnership" between his hotel and CBS. The construction of Heroes Hotel, which opened in August 2017, was proudly backed by the Bank.
Additionally, resource persons from Manulife Chinabank Life Assurance Corp. and Chinabank Insurance Brokers Inc. were on hand to provide business insights during the event.
According to the Philippine Statistics Authority, nine out of ten registered Philippine businesses are SMEs, making the sector a key driver of economic growth and job creation.
