Together as One Nation under One Flag
National Flag Day commemorates the triumph of the Philippine Revolutionary Army over Spanish forces during the Battle of Alapan in Imus, Cavite on May 28, 1898.
To mark the victory, General Emilio Aguinaldo unfurled what would become the national emblem at the Teatro Caviteño in present-day Cavite City.
This National Flag Day, leading to the 125th anniversary of Philippine independence, the men and women of CBS China Bank Savings join fellow citizens in saluting the courage and sacrifice of the founders of our Republic, as we rededicate ourselves and our institution to the mission of building the nation and uplifting the quality of people's lives wherever we serve.
During the Flag Days that follow, citizens are encouraged to display the national colors from their homes and workplaces, culminating on June 12, Independence Day.
