The country's second largest thrift bank CBS China Bank Savings formally opened CBS Olongapo Branch on October 28 at C&C Commercial Hub, a stone's throw from the landmark Unity Rotonda, in East Tapinac.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony led by CBS President James Christian T. Dee, was attended by civic leaders, business owners, and CBS clients and employees, including a delegation from CBS Head Office in Makati.

"CBS has moved to a more accessible and convenient location as we continue our support for this vibrant city of Olongapo, a pillar of economic activity in Zambales for several decades now," Mr. Dee said. He praised the economic growth in the area, including Subic Bay, which makes the city an attractive investment destination, and pledged to further deepen ties with the community.
"The relocation is a testament to our commitment to better serve our clients and the community," according to Thelma Marie C. Isais, head of the North Luzon Retail Banking Area. "We are excited about the opportunities the new location brings and look forward to continuing our journey of growth and success together."
The branch inauguration program included a Financial Wellness seminar for customers and well-wishers, conducted by CEM, Marketing Services and Sustainability Division head Warren Augustus D. de Guzman. The quick financial literacy course covers the basics of saving, spending, and investing. This is part of CBS' 2024 goal: Surging to Number One—to deliver the best possible financial services and uplift the lives of people in communities where the Bank operates.
