CBS China Bank Savings visited Olongapo City National High School recently to deliver a package of sports apparel, including footwear, for teachers and staff. This donation is part of CBS's ongoing drive to promote the well-being of Department of Education (DepEd Philippines) teachers.
“Physical fitness is crucial for teachers. It builds strength, stamina, and mental sharpness, enabling them to perform better both inside and outside the classroom,” explained FVP Niel C. Jumawan, head of the Bank’s APD Lending Group. He emphasized the importance of creating a nurturing environment where students can thrive both academically and athletically.

CBS, the country’s second-largest thrift bank, recently signed a
collaborative partnership agreement with DepEd, reiterating the Bank’s support for programs and projects aimed at promoting the welfare of teachers and learners.
The Bank plans to step up its engagement with DepEd through initiatives such as Brigada Eskwela operations and the
National Teachers Month commemoration in 2025. Additionally, CBS will support Project GURO, which facilitates faculty career progression through higher education, and the CBS
Financial Wellness Road Show for DepEd teachers and employees.
